Oh, we’ve got issues

Hey everyone. There’s a bit of sad news here. Due to some big sites linking to one of our scripts, the Carousel for Zazzle Store, our host has killed the script. It was killing their server.
So, what I’m trying to do is get in touch with those sites and work something out for them to host their own version of the script, then I’ll likely change these back to revshare so that I can have enough to move up to a dedicated server if this kind of thing becomes prominent. I am not a fan of having multiple scripts out there to update on different server flavors and versions, etc. so I’d rather have it all hosted here where I can make the fix on the environment I know.
So, if you’re using the wishads for zazzle store, check your site. You’re likely seeing our 404 page in your iframe.
Help us by doing the following:
- Remove that iframe.
- Follow our twitter page for updates so you know when we’re back up and when we have issues like this in the future. It’s been down for a couple of days now and not that many people have noticed it on their sites. With twitter, we get that message out fast.
Thanks for your patience, and our apologies for this.
Jim

Yes, we’re heading back to revshare. My post on the Zazzle forums sums it up:
Hey all. I’ve decided to take the Wishads Carousel for Zazzle and CafePress back to a click-share model. I tried the “tip me” option, but I think the total ended up being $65, $50 coming generously after someone found out that I had taken in a whopping $15.
Now, don’t all of you who are using it run over and tip and think I’m going to change my mind on it. Smile Feel free to come tip, but I’m still going to change it to a click-share. That’s about the only good way that we both can share in our combined success and that I can continue to support the service. The traffic on my site has increased, causing the server host to shut down the carousel file on one occasion. So I’m going to have to bump up the hosting package there, and a one-time tip isn’t going to provide monthly support.
The click-share is a “fifth-click”-ish system. But instead of tracking actual clicks, I just give every thumbnail link a 20% chance of showing my referral number, and an 80% chance of showing yours.
I’ll be making the switchover in the next few hours.

Wishads.com
(note, this doesn’t affect the Wordpress plugins, as those are hosted by the end user.)
I have no problem with that. Probably the best way to work it since as you found out, there’s no monthly support from users. At least this way we have an excellent widget to use and you make a little something for your time and work
Oh, just read this.
Saw the message a while back.
Will do the ‘housecleaning’ part today.
I was still hoping I wouldn’t have to
Hope you get it fixed - I really love this tool & miss it greatly!
Oh, just now read your comment.
Mh. I still have the 404 message.
Did the code change?
When you switched the first time it didn’t affect my Sites.
